About Merrimac Weddings

The Brand

Merrimac Weddings exists for couples who want a wedding that feels unmistakably like them—not like a template, a trend, or someone else's expectations.

Planning should create freedom, not overwhelm. That's why every decision is grounded in equal parts thoughtful strategy, creative vision, and calm execution. The result is a wedding that feels intentional from beginning to end, allowing you to be fully present while every detail unfolds exactly as it should.

I believe the best weddings are the ones people remember because they felt authentic. Whether that means honoring tradition, rewriting it entirely, or creating something no one has seen before, my role is to protect your vision and bring it to life with confidence, clarity, and care.

The Name

Merrimac Weddings is named after Merrimac Butte in Moab, where my husband proposed. Standing high above the desert, surrounded by endless skies, it felt like anything was possible.

That place became more than the inspiration for a name. It became a reminder that the best moments rarely happen by following someone else's path. They happen when you trust your instincts, embrace the unexpected, and create something that feels authentically your own.

That philosophy is at the heart of Merrimac. Every wedding should reflect the people getting married—not tradition for tradition's sake, not trends for the sake of trends, but a celebration that feels unmistakably, unapologetically yours.

The Planner

I love weddings, but I also love a lot of things that have nothing to do with weddings.

I’m originally from Minnesota, but I fell in love with Utah for the mountains and the desert. I love dancing all night while my friends DJ, flying planes, skiing, crafting, bold ideas, good music, and people who are fully themselves.

Before Merrimac, I spent more than a decade in hospitality and several years in event and project management, so I bring the structure. But the reason I love this work is because weddings are personal, emotional, chaotic, creative, and alive.

I’m here for couples who want their wedding to feel like them. I’ll protect the vision, keep the day moving, and definitely hype you up the whole way through.

Your wedding isn’t just one day. It’s the beginning of the rest of your lives.

Let’s make it unforgettable.
