About Merrimac Weddings

The Brand

Merrimac Weddings is built on the belief that the planning experience should feel just as thoughtful as the celebration itself. I approach weddings with a balance of structure, creativity, and calm—so nothing feels rushed, overwhelming, or generic.

My work blends precise organization with elevated design and seamless execution, creating weddings that feel effortless, personal, and deeply considered. Beautiful in the spotlight, and even more impressive behind the scenes.

The Name

Merrimac Weddings is named after Merrimac Butte in Moab, where my husband proposed—high above the desert, surrounded by vast skies and a sense of possibility that’s hard to put into words.

That moment shaped the heart of this brand. It represents bold decisions, meaningful beginnings, and trusting the process even when the path looks a little different than expected. It’s a reminder that the experience of getting there matters just as much as the destination.

The Planner

I’ve spent over a decade in hospitality, four years in event and project management, and the last several years immersed in weddings—and I can say this with confidence: you deserve a planning experience that feels calm, inspired, and entirely your own.

I booked my own venue before I ever had a ring, and I still believe the magic lives in the planning just as much as the day itself. I bring structure to the details and creativity to the vision, so you can move through this season feeling confident, prepared, and genuinely excited.

Originally from Minnesota and now based in Utah, I’m drawn to movement, adventure, and wide-open skies—whether that’s skiing in the mountains, flying airplanes, or dancing wherever there’s good music and even better energy.

Your wedding isn’t just one day. It’s the beginning of everything and it deserves to be planned with intention.

Let’s make it unforgettable.
